Amazing Apps: PayAnywhere

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by PayAnywhere. All opinions are my own.

I recently found out about the app PayAnywhere, a pretty nifty app for anyone who is selling their own products and services. You can download for free and try it out, and the system charges a reasonable 2.69% per swipe (a fee comparable to most other credit card processing services). The app works for iOS and Android and has live support and next-day funding. I like the convenience of both of those features - I wouldn't have to wait to get paid (which is great for freelancers) and if there are any problems, I know I can get help right away.

There were several features of the app I really liked. First of all, you can customize your inventory. If I were going to use this app, it would be easy for my husband and myself to set up inventory for services instead of goods (lessons, tutoring, tech support, etc). You can adjust settings relating to taxes, gratuity, and if you want the receipt emailed to you. Although it's designed for use with a specific card reader, you can also enter card information manually. That's probably what I'll do at this point, since I don't have a lot of students so it isn't that much of a hassle for me to just enter the numbers in. The app ran smoothly, even on my older Android phone.

I have no idea how the ease of use compares to other apps, since I've never used any of the other ones out there. But I will definitely be keeping this on my phone so that I can offer credit card payment possibilities to my current students! I like the convenience and not having to wait for checks to be written or the possibility of getting a check that can't be cashed.
