Big Fish games recently launched Hidden Expedition: The Smithsonian Hope Diamond on iPhone and iPad, joining the PC and Mac versions of the game. In
this first collaboration by the Smithsonian on a video game, Big Fish
worked with the world's largest museum and research complex to create
the 6th installment of its popular Hidden Expedition®
series. Hidden Expedition: The Smithsonian Hope Diamond is a hidden
object adventure game for download and purchase and primarily appeals to
our long standing consumer base of female gamers ages 35-70. The game
has been available for download on PC and Mac on the Big Fish Games
website since December.
A few things I really liked - the game is available in multiple languages, including French, German, Japanese, and Russian, so I was able to use it to reinforce German with my kids (not always easy to do with some apps). It is rated 9+, but the cartoon violence is infrequent and mild, so I felt it was pretty much appropriate for my 6-year-old to play. The graphics are good, and the puzzles are fun, too! My daughter and I play games like this together, so she can do some of the easier tasks and I do the more challenging ones.
