Parents' Choice® Award-winning The Little Rockers Band will be releasing its third kids'/family CD, Count Me In!, set to be released in April. The Little Rockers Band
is committed to creating music that speaks to
children's real life experiences through songs as varied in style as
their subjects. The CD blends styles from from the '50s to today, country, acoustic, rock, and more. The styles are as varied as the experience brought to the bad by co-founders Chris & Jessie Apple, one a Broadway performer and one a rock & roll performer who also taught music to pre-school kids.
The husband-and-wife team of Chris & Jessie Apple started Little Rockers, cool kids music classes™
in 2009, beginning with about 30 families. More than 500 families now
take their classes (35+ classes a week in 13 locations, and counting),
and they employ 16 additional Teaching Artists. Chris & Jessie
teach together during the day, deal with administrative matters in the
afternoon, and write at night. They're joined by Liam Moroney and Billy Papenberg to create the band.
Count Me In! will be available at LittleRockersMusic.com, amazon.com, and iTunes.
My girls loved the CD. Their favorites were "Old Mick Jagger" (the band's interpretation of Old MacDonald) and Fortune Cookie. I had fun listening to all the different styles, including their cover of "Me & Julio" (which I never would have thought of as a kids' song, but it works). It's a great way to expose kids to a variety of styles.
I can give away one copy of the CD to a lucky reader. Leave a comment by April 4th with your favorite style of music.
