Soul Sustenance: Lost and Found - Finding Hope in the Detours of Life

Disclosure: I received complimentary products to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.

Most of us have had some change in our plans since we were younger. I myself have had several detours in life, vocational and personal. I'm not in the career I imagined I would be a dozen years ago, and my husband is not the type of man I would have expected to end up marrying. But here I am - and through our own trials in conceiving children, finding jobs, and loving each other, we are exactly where we are meant to be.

Lost and Found: Finding Hope in the Detours of Life is written by a woman who has certainly had her share of detours. The daughter of a megachurch pastor, she became pregnant at thirteen and was shunned and gossiped about. Later, her marriage ended. Her story has been full of pain. And yet, she's able to recognize that God can use our deepest pain to His glory. Her honest and emotional memoir is a rich look at the ways God has shown Himself in her life, and can give us all hope along our own journey, no matter how far we've strayed.
