Fun Freetime: Lollipop Seeds

Disclosure: I received complimentary products to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.

So many holidays have gotten away from their roots and have the possibility of encouraging selfishness in kids. One way to temper that is to encourage them to think about others. Even if you aren't celebrating Easter for its Christian implications, you can still encourage kids to think about others. One way is the fun tradition of Lollipop Seeds. The book, subtitled "that sprout for good deeds," encourages kids to plant the seeds as they perform good deeds for others. The story goes that the Easter bunny, over time, has forgotten to give these seeds out, but now that families know, they can complete the tradition.

You can get some great ideas at the Lollipop Seeds Pinterest page. Plus, when you buy the book, 10% goes to the Kind Kids Fund. Order by April 14th to get the book buy Easter!
