Consumer Critique: Color Cables

Disclosure: I received complimentary products to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.

Every once in a while a product comes along that you don't really realize you need. Color Cables have a lot of great features that set them apart from traditional charging cables, and I love the ones I have.

First of all, they come 30-pin (iPads, iPods, iPhones), Micro USB (Android, Blackberry, Windows Phone, PS4 and Xbox), and Lightning connections (select Apple products), so they'll work for pretty much any device. You can pick three or six feet for flexibility, and you can choose a variety of colors. This is great if you have multiple devices, since it's easier to identify which cable to grab. Plus, the cables glow in the dark - this is the part I didn't realize was going to be so handy. If you wake up in the middle of the night, it's easier to find your phone to check the time (they glow for quite a long time) or easier to see if it's been knocked off the bedside table so you don't step on it (I have little kids, this has happened to me).

Other nice features - they don't tangle like some cords, and they have a really tough design, but are soft and easy to grab. They'll also charge and sync at the same time when plugged into your computer. They start at just $9 and are well worth it!
