Mealtime Magic: Bitsy's Brainfood Cereal

Disclosure: I received complimentary products to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.

On a mission to make healthy food delicious and fun, Bitsy’s Brainfood, the world’s first “smart” snack brand for kids, just launched a line of organic fruit and vegetable cereals built around its core principles, that healthy bodies and healthy minds are connected, and learning to “eat smart” should be fun.

Created by moms Alexandra Buckley Voris and Maggie Jones Patton, the new line offers families a smarter cereal alternative made from organic ingredients and real fruits and veggies. While there are many cereals that are organic options for kids, often they are low in vitamins and nutrients. Bitsy’s cereals have 12 essential vitamins and minerals to support healthy development, plus Zinc, which helps brain and body cells to develop and grow; Iron, which helps deliver oxygen to the brain and body; and Vitamin B12, which can help support the nervous system and brain function.

Additionally, their website offers fun interactive games that teaches kids about healthy foods and healthy eating.

We got to try them out. My girls loved two of the flavors as much as any other cereal - the Banana Squash Squares and the Fruit & Veggie 1, 2, 3. I liked that they were organic. They weren't fans of the Carrot Raisin Crunch, but for some reason they don't like flaked cereal. My husband and I happily ate it - it was every bit as tasty, if not more so, than other raisin flake options!

I also like that the company will give back to qualified organizations. You can buy Bitsy's products at diapers.com, abesfreshmarket.com, freshdirect.com, vine.com, and amazon.com.
