Your family’s safety on the road is important to you, and that includes
knowing what’s up with your tires. Your tires are the only thing
between you and the road, and if you don’t know how to maintain them
properly, tragedy can happen quickly. There are nearly 11,000
tire-related crashes every year, and almost 200 people die in those
crashes.
That’s
why during National Tire Safety week, the NHTSA is hosting a Twitter chat on
June 5th about tire safety. NHTSA recently launched the TireWise Campaign to
provide families and consumers like you essential information about
choosing and caring for tires. With warmer weather across the country
and the start of summer travel, it’s a great time to learn about tips
for tire safety.
