Healthy Habits: DHA

Dr. Scott Cohen is a practicing pediatrician and bestselling author of the book: Eat, Sleep, Poop: A Common Sense Guide to Your Baby's First Year. I had a chance to interview him about DHA. DHA, an omega-3 fatty acid and an important building block for the brain, is an important nutrient during this time since 85% of brain growth happens within the first three years of a child’s life! On average, toddlers only get about 25% of the amount of DHA many experts recommend from their daily diet. Watch the interview to learn more about this nutrient and how you can incorporate it into your toddler's diet.
