Fun Freetime: Strange Hill High and Tree Fu Tom

The U.K.’s break-out comedy hit, Strange Hill High, has just made its way to Netflix.  From Josh Weinstein, former producer on The Simpsons and Futurama, comes a hilarious new program full of weird characters, wild action and wicked humor.

Set in an all-but-forgotten inner-city school with many secrets and mysteries, the show follows a team of three students who take it upon themselves to investigate the bizarre and odd occurrences that seem to only happen at Strange Hill High… always with absurd and outrageous results.  Each episode contains a mystery that the student trio of Mitchell, Becky and Templeton encounter, all while dealing with an eccentric group of educators, allowing for plenty of classroom antics.

Strange Hill High has been so anticipated in the U.S. that it won the Kidscreen 2014 Award for Best Kids’ Animated series.  The show was also nominated for a BAFTA Children’s Award.

Tree Fu Tom has also become available on Netflix

Originally broadcast on Sprout, Tree Fu Tom is an exciting and inspiring CG animated show set in an enchanted world called Treetopolis.  Calling on preschoolers to move and develop their motor skills throughout each episodeTree Fu Tom engages children in action, adventures and physical activity unlike any other show on television.  Encouraging each child to become a superhero like Tom and participate in special movements designed by child development specialists, children are brought into the magical action, all while improving their motor skill development.
