Fun Freetime: Waiting Games

Next time you're waiting somewhere, play a version of this fun memory game. Start with a prompt, and then add items in a list. keep adding items until you can't remember the list. For younger kids, use visuals; you can also trade off who adds to the list or make other rules, like starting with alphabet letters. For example: "I'm going on a picnic and bringing apples." "I'm going on a picnic and bringing apples and bananas." In a doctor's waiting room: "I see an eye chart." "I see an eye chart and a teddy bear."

Continue until no one can remember the sequence, or until the wait is done.
