Website Spotlight: Homeschooling Help

Today, parents of any age group have a new educational resource at their fingertips: Homeschooling Help.  Created by Bridgeway Academy, a national homeschooling provider that works with kindergarten through twelfth grade students nationwide to offer alternative educational options, Homeschooling Help can be found athttp://blog.homeschoolacademy.com/.
Parents can expect to find a variety of actionable advice, information, personal anecdotes, and resources when they visit Homeschooling Help including:
  • Why homeschooling your children is possible for working parents
  • How to keep your child mentally engaged and stimulated to prevent summer learning loss
  • Innovative ways for engaging your ADD and ADHD learner
  • How to determine the best learning style for your student and take control of his or her education

The blog will be primarily authored by Jessica Parnell, and Kimberly Kulp, two very active and involved moms and educators with years of educational experience spanning the elementary through higher education markets. Each author personally speaks from her own journey about issues such as managing the educational landscape for an adopted child; working with at-risk students; starting college early, and understanding your student’s learning style. The hope is to inspire families to identify the educational option that best meets their child’s needs rather than accept the status quo.
