If you're looking for bargains on high-quality close, check out ThePoshMommy.com, a unique consignment website for women's and children's clothing, accessories
and shoes. Nicole
Jennings, wife of NFL player Greg Jennings, created this online
boutique to offer discounted designer goods while doing good. A portion of the proceeds from sales benefit charities. There's also a celeb factor--the
consignors on the site are the wives, girlfriends and significant
others of pro sports players and other women affiliated with pro sports.
I had a chance to interview Nicole to learn more.
1) What was the inspiration behind starting The Posh Mommy?
The inspiration behind The Posh Mommy was to bring together a group of
women with some level of influence who have nice things to spare and
have the heart to do so in a meaningful manner. TPM was created to use our "celebrity" platform to raise money for
meaningful charities doing great things for their community and the
world. The other side of it is that The Posh Mommy is also providing real women
with fantastic fashion at a reasonable price. Not only are people able
to buy amazing items for themselves and their children but they are also
giving back at the same time. A real WIN,WIN
situation.
Our goal is to sign up consigners from all pro sports and to be a destination for savvy shoppers.
2) What kind of deals can be found on the site?
The Posh Mommy has amazing deals on women's and children's designer
clothing. Our consignment items are up to 70% off the suggested retail
value. Our brands range from Splendid, Tea, Burberry, Gucci, Prada and
more.
3) Why did the site decide to partner with charities?
We decided to partner with charities to make ourselves different than
other online consignment shops. We also have a heart to give back, and
we thought what better way than combining our two favorite things..
Fashion and Philanthropy.
