I'll be honest - I'd never heard of Neil Gaiman when I was approached to review The Art of Neil Gaiman. But I'm intrigued by art, and love books in general.
Neil has made quite an impact on the literary world, publishing bestselling novels, children's books, and comics. He even appeared on an episode of Simpsons, which apparently means they know more about pop culture than I do!
This book was interesting to me, even as someone who wasn't aware of him. It traces the development from a nobody to a successful writer and contains a lot of behind-the-scenes information, stories and sketches. I'm probably backwards from the person this was intended for - I'm not a fan intrigued by learning more, instead, I'm a person who read this biography of sorts and now wants to read his books!
