Summer is a great time to spend some time with your family. First Things First wants to make it easier to strengthen your family relationships. One startling statistic they're hoping to reduce - nearly three-quarters of divorces are due to disconnectedness, not infidelity, addiction, or abuse. Another often-overlooked fact is that fathers who are active and present play a unique role in the lives of daughters, reducing the level of sexual activity and increasing school participation.
That last sentence really resonates with me, and I love the Daddy-Daughter page. It has a brief film followed by some questions for discussion (or self-reflection). In the following pages, it provides concrete ways dads can connect with daughters, even if they aren't living with them.
