Parenting Pointers: Making Marriage Simple

Disclosure: "I received this book for free from Blogging for Books for this review."

Making Marriage Simple breaks down a lot of advice about marriage into ten "key truths." The book is well-written, with the voice of experience, and deconstructs some often-held myths about marriage and relationships. It's a great book to read for anyone ready to enter marriage, people who are struggling and want to open dialogue, or just people who want to refresh their look at their relationships.

Here are a few tips I got from the book. Be sure to check out the book to find out more.

- Conflict is growth trying to happen.
- Negativity is invisible abuse (I never thought about it this way before, but it really is, in a way).
- Your marriage is a laughing matter.
- It's not what you say, it's how you say it.

I don't think there was much, if anything, in this book that I disagreed with. While some pieces of advice (like "it's how you say it") I've heard before, I got some new tidbits of wisdom as well, and I'm glad I got the chance to review.
