Fun Freetime: Wuzzits

Disclosure: I received complimentary products to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.

My younger daughter loves monsters and fuzzy things, so WuzzIts was a cute game for her birthday. It's a matching game that helps encourage observation, and also incorporates early math skills. Gameplay was simple enough for my five-year-old to participate on her own with minimal assistance, and since there's quite a bit of chance involved, it helps level the playing field when playing with kids and adults.

Play time is less than a half an hour, so it's appropriate for lower elementary school kids with a shorter attention span. Blue Orange Games is great at making games that can be played with a wide variety of ages together, improving mental skills and providing fun. Plus, they plant two trees for every tree used by their company.

You can find WuzzIts - and other Blue Orange games - at a variety of specialty game shops and bookstores.
