Consumer Critique: Jesus Boat and Rumors of Wars

Disclosure: I received complimentary products to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.

I recently was sent two very different films appropriate for Christian families.

Jesus Boat: Witness to Prophecy, is great for anyone interested in history. Through the discovery of a boat dated to the time of Jesus, the film looks at the historical destruction of Israel in 70 AD and Israel's eventual rebirth. With commentary by Franklin Graham, Chuck Smith, Ken Ortize, and other scholars, this movie is an intriguing journey through time. It will be available in stores February 25th, or you can order it online now.

The other, Rumors of Wars, is a suspense-filled movie with two separate plotlines. In one, an aspiring journalist is working on a college term paper, investigating end time prophecies and recording her thoughts and discoveries in a diary. In the other, her writings are found in the rubble of a post-apocalyptic society, eventually making their way to an officer of the New World Army. This kind of movie isn't for everyone - I know there are some who don't like post-apocalyptic movies - but even if no one really knows what the end of the world will be like, it provides food for thought.
