Consumer Critique: Dog Training the American Male (A Novel)

Disclosure: I received complimentary products to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.

Dog Training the American Male is a humorous look at the relationships between men and women. Dr. Nancy Beach is relationship counselor who hosts a local radio show called “Love’s a Beach.” However, her credibility and ratings are at risk since she can't maintain a relationship. She's set up on a blind date with Jacob Cope, an out of work man who dreams of being a ventriloquist. They quickly end up moving in together under pressure from their siblings, and the honeymoon stage unsurprisingly ends quickly. Jacob tries to fix things by adopting a large dog, which does not make Nancy happy - until she realizes that dog training tricks work on men too.

The premise is cute - and actually does have an element of truth to it. If you're not a fan of coarse language, this book may put you off. However, it's a fun lighthearted read!
