Fun Freetime: Baseball Winter Weekend (Red Sox)

There's a fun, family-friendly event from the Red Sox taking place this weekend. The team will host the first-ever “Baseball Winter Weekend” at Foxwoods Resort Casino from January 23-25. There are lots of events for fans of all-ages, including:

§  Meet and get autographs from the more than 40 Red Sox players, coaches and alumni in attendance

§  Meet and take photos with mascot Wally the Green Monster, get their pictures with the World Series Trophies, and test their fastball at the Red Sox pitching booth

§  Enjoy one-of-a-kind activities, such as Red Sox BINGO, Red Sox Family Feud and a ping pong tournament between fans and Red Sox players

§  Listen to panel discussions about how statistical analysis has changed the game, hear stories from the 1975 team as they celebrate the 40th anniversary of that incredible season, and even spend time at the Red Sox beer garden

Saturday passes for Baseball Winter Weekend are still available now at redsox.com/winterweekend. A one-day pass for Saturday, when the bulk of the activities are scheduled, is $40 per adult, $8 for children. Toddlers under three are free. A list of expected players and full itinerary of events is available on the site so families can make plans depending on their interests.
