Healthy Habits: Good Treats for the Big Game

Ready, set, hike! The Big Game is approaching and it’s time to prepare a menu of ultimate football fare. Your guests will undoubtedly expect the game day food and beverages they know and love; wings, dip, and beer. But what about the kids? Many times, this celebration tends to focus more on entertaining adults than the little ones.  See below for some healthy (but fun!) options for the young football fans in your life:

·         Fruit Salad, Football Style! We all would like our kids to eat more fruit, and what better way than to make it fun?! Carve out a watermelon in the shape of a football helmet, and put the salad inside, like the one here. Kids and adults alike won’t be able to resist.
·          Field Mix. Use your favorite whole grain cereal, pretzels, peanuts, and sunflower seeds and mix them in a festive bowl. Then, take almonds and draw laces like a football on them with fast dry white chocolate. The perfect combination of sweet and salty without going overboard.
·         Water Packs a Punch. Instead of sugary sodas, try new good2grow Juicy Waters. Coming in grape and fruit punch, these all natural, no sugar added, and non-gmo waters are will be so popular, they will disappear before kickoff! Topped with some of the top characters in entertainment like Olaf, Hello Kitty, Captain America, and Scooby Doo, having good2grow at the party will make you a winner, no matter the outcome.
