At the Crossroad is a
book targeted to the female audience that covers passion, forbidden
love, faith and power. The book follows four main characters: a dashing
medical student filled with so much promise, his beautiful but naïve
girlfriend who doesn’t realize her strengths, a carefree girlfriend,
whose troubled life brings happiness but also tragedy and a handsome
military officer, strong but unwilling to bend his religious beliefs.
At the Crossroad
was written by first time author, Olfet Agrama, a native of Cairo,
Egypt. Her book is based on real people she knew growing up in the
Middle East during the 1950s and 1960s. The characters personal
relationships are affected by military and political events occurring in
Egypt during that time. Their lives are filled with a range of emotions
that includes sexual tension, loneliness, elation, confusion,
fulfillment, humiliation and hope.
I have a chance to give away a copy of the book. To enter, leave a comment about what you like about reading. Deadline is February 20th.
