Mealtime Magic: Meatball Variations

According to recent Work & Education Gallup poll data spanning the past two years, the average American workweek is closer to 47 hours per week, nearly an entire full workday past the standard 40 hours, with nearly 20% of professionals reporting clocking in at a range of fifty to sixty hours a week. And with nearly 57% of children between the ages of six and seventeen participating in at least one extracurricular activity, the best way to get everyone settled and eating together is through appetizing, straightforward dishes.

Here are a few variations of savory, easy-to-make classic Italian dishes incorporating artisanal meatballs from The Flying Meatballs®. Recipes can use any of The Flying Meatballs’ three meatball varieties: All-Beef, Turkey and Three Meats (Beef, Pork Veal).

Meatball Puttanesca
Add a meaty flare to Puttanesca - an Italian classic! Incorporate capers and pitted Gaeta olives to our meatball’s tomato sauce and in just a few minutes you’ve transformed our classic into your own. The Flying Meatballs® 100% premium beef or all natural turkey meatballs will reach new heights in this rendition. Great served over your favorite pasta.

Italian Meatball Soup

If you’d like, add some shell-shaped pasta and/or cannellini beans and finish with grated cheese and extra virgin olive oil to make a hearty, filling soup. Want to take it a step further? Toast a baguette that’s been split in half and rub it with a clove of garlic. Use it as a dipping accompaniment to your soup.

Meatball Arrabiata
For a spicier dish, start with a tomato sauce base with crushed red pepper for added heat; mix in basil and parsley. After adding in The Flying Meatballs® 100% premium turkey and premium beef meatballs, serve over linguine pasta.

Meatballs Caprese
Craft a simple Caprese antipasto with our delicious premium beef meatballs and fresh bufala mozzarella by slicing them into equal coin shapes and layering the in an alternating pattern. Use the sauce as your base and drizzle the layered Caprese of meatballs and mozzarella with extra virgin olive oil.
