Consumer Critique: Cuddlebug Parade

Disclosure: I received complimentary products to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.

Independent children's musician Michal "Peanut" Karmi's album Cuddlebug Parade, is a sweet album, targeted towards ages 0-4, but also interesting even to my almost-8-year-old. The album is filled with images that relate to the discoveries that happen with the very young - eating foods, exploring senses, being silly, joining parents on errands. The light touch of the ukulele, combined with other instruments and some percussion, makes it appropriate for bedtime - the upbeat rhythms are great for daytime dance parties. Lyrics are similar to the styles of Shel Silverstein, Dr. Seuss, and Lewis Carroll - sometimes silly, sometimes with a deeper commentary - and Spanish and Hebrew both find a place on the album, introducing young listeners to the sounds of foreign language. It's a great addition to our CD rack!

Cuddlebug Parade is available at Amazon, CDBaby, Bandcamp, and iTunes.
