Caring Causes: Cure Bowl

One out of eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. With numbers like that, it’s likely this disease has touched all of our lives in some way. This December, the Orlando Sports Foundation is bringing teams together to celebrate the women who are living with breast cancer today and those who will face it tomorrow at the AutoNation Cure Bowl. The Pros Weddings, a sponsor of the Cure Bowl, is inviting you to share your breast cancer story for a chance to be a part of this historic game.

The Cure Bowl is more than a game. It’s a memoriam of those who have lost their battle and hope for those fighting to survive. But more than that, it’s a rally cry to the world to raise awareness and help bring an end to this deadly disease once and for all.

 

The game will be nationally televised and played at the newly renovated Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida. Teams and fans will be part of this historic new bowl game that features teams from the American Athletic Conference and the Sun Belt Conference.  Florida Hospital will also be hosting a game day “Cure Village” at the Citrus Bowl where fans can receive mammogram screenings. Funds raised from the Cure Bowl will directly benefit organizations doing research to find a cure including the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

 

So how can you be a part of the game?

The Pros invites those affected by breast cancer to share their story by posting a video to their Facebook page using the #curebowlstrong hashtag. Whether you are a survivor or a supporter, everyone has a story to tell. Share your story of hope, inspiration or support for the chance to be selected to receive an all inclusive trip that includes 2 tickets to the Cure Bowl this December in Orlando, FL.
