Teens today get a lot of mixed messages. Teen girls in particular have certain pressures placed on them by society, family, friends, and self. The NIV Bible for Teen Girls is designed for girls ages 13 to 18 that are trying to navigate and filter these messages. There are daily readings, God's promises, deep insights, advice, and honest discussions. Teens will find help with relating to family and friends, handling work and other activities, and positive interactions with male friends.
My daughter isn't old enough for this yet, but I am hanging onto it to give her in a couple years. The readings are great, from a variety of female Christian authors. The advice is sound, and works with a wide spectrum of Christian families from conservative to liberal. Women in the Bible are profiled in a way that girls rarely get to see, and the book introductions and concordance help find verses and learn more about the Bible's authors. Promises of God are also highlighted, to make it easy to hear His reassurance while reading.
To enter the giveaway, leave a comment with what faith message you most hope to pass down to your teen girl. Deadline is November 7th.
