Consumer Critique: Compeed, Band-Aid, Neosporin, and Johnson's

There are all sorts of little injuries that happen year round, from blisters caused by ill-fitting shoes, paper cuts, or scrapes that are more likely to happen on winter-dried skin. I had a chance to try out several products from Band-Aid and Compeed to help out.

Compeed Blister Cushions are the newest product to relieve blister pain instantly. They protect the blister and allow it to heal, using hydrocolloid technology to add comfort to an otherwise painful casualty of certain shoes (or just overuse in a good pair).

If your kids are anything like mine, they love the cute bandages. The Oh Joy! Band-Aids are cute and colorful, yet appropriate for grown-ups too. For character lovers, you can find Band-Aids featuring Star Wars, Peanuts, or Inside Out (which my girls absolutely loved to use).

Neosporin is an old standard for helping prevent infection, especially helpful for kids who aren't always careful with fresh wounds.

Johnson's also has a baby take-along pack, ideal for holiday travel, with baby shampoo, wash, lotion, powder, and Desitin rapid relief cream - all of the essentials, packaged up small enough to make it easy to travel. Also by Johnson's  - hand and face wipes in a reclosable container, easy to use and very convenient when out and about. I love having these along for those messy meals out, or spills in the car during travel time!
