Robert Clancy is a soul hitchhiker. He
says that "soul hitches” occur every day in interactions with others:
any interaction—large or small—that changes how one views oneself, an
event or the world. A chance run-in with a stranger or an intimate
conversation with a family member creates an indelible imprint on our
soul. You hitch a ride on someone else's soul and you are changed
forever. Consider it hitching a ride on a big, beautiful cosmic highway!
I had a chance to review his second book, Daily Downloads and
Fortune Cookies from the Universe, which has nuggets of wisdom organized into chapters on love, compassion, strength, and more. It was a great way to start my morning, reading a few pages of these inspiring, meaningful quotes.
His first book, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Soul: A
Collection of Scenic Views of Volunteerism, Transcendental Encounters
with Kindred Spirits and Lessons in Compassion, is a soul-filled travelogue of experiences in which volunteerism
is the catalyst for life-changing events and joyful interaction.
Both
of these books may be ordered at any bookstore worldwide and are
currently available in paperback, Kindle and iBook format. They are also

Clancy is an entrepreneur, inspirational speaker,
ordained minister, master martial arts instructor in both Tae Kwon Do
& Chon-Tu Kwan Hapkido, and published author from the heart
of upstate New York who experienced a life-defining spiritual
experience at the age of 19 that he writes about in his upcoming
book with the working title, Soul Cyphers - Decoding a Life of Hope and
Happiness. Robert is also a regular contributor on Late Night Health on
KABC radio.
Today,
he blends his beautiful consciousness into his business life as
co-founder and managing partner of Spiral Design Studio, one of the
largest full-service graphic design and web development firms in the
Northeast. Spiral Design's clients include dozens of corporations,
educational & healthcare organizations, non-profits and startups,
including Citigroup, Home Depot, Sears, Activision, and Disney, among
many others.
Balancing
his corporate commitments with his lifelong love and compassion for
humanity, Clancy supports ongoing volunteerism within his business and
his everyday life. His dedication to community — at both the regional
and national levels — inspires his team and encourages youth, as well as
professional leaders, to step up and give back.
