Consumer Critique: Zus Smart Car Charger

Nonda, a tech startup in Silicon Valley, just developed the first truly smart Zus car charger in the world, which was successfully crowdfunded on Indiegogo. The charger plugs in to the cigarette lighter, like most chargers, and has two USB plug-ins. It has a small amount of light to make it easier to find in the dark without distracting the driver, and can sense whether it's an iOS or Android device for more efficient charging (I had no idea that was even an issue, but great that they can make it better).

There are a lot of features that are really useful: twice the charging speed of most chargers, temperature resistance up to 100 degrees Celsius (and a cooling system) meaning that it won't degrade in hot parked cars, and a GPS car locator, so when you park in large or unfamiliar parking lots you can find your vehicle.

It works pretty well. It's a little trickier in a parking ramp with interference and multiple levels, but it still worked ok when we tried it out there too. In a large flat lot it found the car right away, which was neat.

Right now you can get 10% with promo code SMM-AKZUSSUMMER16 until March 31st at nonda.co. It's a great time to check it out!
