There
is a new, popular webisode series created by Mike Rowe (from Dirty
Jobs) and Direct Energy that highlights the incredible benefits of a
career in the skilled trades, such as those in plumbing, electric and
heating/air industries. As parents and educators, we need to change the
perception of these “blue collar” jobs and start recognizing them as
the viable path to success that they are, not just as an alternative to a
