I recently got to review Larry Gets Lost in the Twin Cities, a great little book perfect for introducing kids to some of the best sites in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. As a Twin Cities resident, a lot of these sites were places my kids and I had gone before, and there are a few that my kids now want to visit after having heard about them.
The book is part of a larger series that includes many other major areas: Seattle, Boston, Portland, Alaska, and more (some cities get two, with an ABC book as well). There's even a dinosaur-themed book. These would make great books for parents wanting to introduce their kids to the wonders of their area, as souvenirs for places you've already visited, or as a preview of an upcoming trip to an area.
