I have a daughter who loves science and trivia, so I was excited to review The World Almanac® and Book of Facts 2017. It would make a great gift for any trivia lover, and is a terrific value - even if someone only reads part of it, at $14.99 it's easy to get your money's worth out of it.
The book has details on everything - politics, sports, pictures, geography, news, and more. It contains off beat news stories that most people may not have heard of, and pages of maps and flags.
In an era where we can look up anything we want to on the Internet, there's something lost in the discovery of random facts from when I was a kid and we would page through the encyclopedia. Getting a book like this brings that era back, where we can discover new knowledge on every page.
