I recently had a chance to try out some canned meats from Keystone Meats. I was a little dubious about how they'd taste - I've had bad experiences with canned meats that weren't tuna before. They sent me a can of beef and a can of chicken to try out, and I was pleasantly surprised with the results.
I decided to make both into things where meat wasn't exactly the feature, and that helped. Their recipe page gave me some great ideas. With the chicken, I made a cold chicken salad (noodles, veggies, cubed cheese, and the chicken plus a little mayo-based dressing) and with the beef I made quesadillas. It honestly was a big time-saver to have meat that just had to get hot, instead of waiting for the full cooking time from chilled.
The meats are all-natural (but not organic, that's the only thing that could've made it better). They also have pork and turkey options, plus soup base and broth.
I have the chance to give away a few cans of Keystone Meats. To enter, leave a comment with how you think you'd use them. Deadline is January 20th.
