Everyone who has loved has had their heart broken, has felt the sting of betrayal, has felt the frustration that comes from miscommunication. Once we've been hurt, it can be hard to open up to love again, hard to value ourselves. But that does a disservice to who we have been created to be.
I had a chance to review Lies and Love: Cleansing the Heart to Make Room for Radical Love. This book is an intentional, 30-day process to getting rid of the hurt and damaged sense of self that can come from lies and betrayal, replacing it with the love that God has for us.
We all have a heart story. Unlocking the chaos of that heart story helps us unpack the baggage, and learn to love and receive love without limits. It's a great book for anyone who's ever been badly hurt and believes the lies about their own self-worth.
