Soul-centered living is an intriguing term, so I was really looking forward to getting to review Remembering the Light Within - A Course in Soul-Centered Living by Drs. Ron and Mary Hulnick. I really had no idea what to expect, but it was a very uplifting book to read.
As pioneers in the field of Spiritual Psychology and experienced educators and therapists, the two authors aim to help readers do what we are on earth to do. It's a very interesting book, and one that can fit into anyone's religious or non-religious beliefs. The book talks about being in the Presence of Love, about being a Divine Being, about Amazing Grace. For those who aren't Christians, that all sounds awfully full of God, but really it fits into a secular understanding as well. For some Christians it will feel a little bit New Age-y, but there's a lot of solid wisdom in the book no matter your religious background.
The book is designed to be spread out over time, to let the lessons really sink in. I read the book rather quickly, but still found it to have some strong inspiring elements. The Practices and Intention at the end of each chapter are designed to become habits, to help readers continue to grow spiritually.
