As a family, we do nightly devotions. It's a good chance to talk to our girls about the day and help them learn more about the faith and values that we live by. When I had a chance to review The Berenstain Bears 5-Minute Inspirational Stories I was excited, since we were looking for something different.These books make great stories for early elementary kids. At only about five minutes each, they are short enough that it still allows for a little bit of discussion before the kids' attention span wanes. It was easy to ask questions based on the story that hit both of my girls' maturity levels. The stories were fairly realistic, and touched on a variety of topics, including forgiveness, prejudice, service, cooperation, and much more.
Set in the familiar Berenstain Bears' world, these books are appropriate for all kids, whether or not they're already fans of Brother and Sister Bear.
