Earlier this year I reviewed Christmas Love Letters from God, and I recently had the chance to review another similar book, Love Letters from God: Bible Stories for a Girl's Heart.
Like the Christmas Love Letters, this book pulls together several Bible stories, this time looking at girls and women in the Bible: Eve, Miriam, Mary, and more. With each story, a different trait is called out, such as courage, and the story is re-told in the lens of that trait. Then, readers can lift the flap to discover a letter to them written in the voice of a loving God who wants to celebrate and encourage that trait in the readers. At the end, there's a sapce to write a love letter back to God.
My girls and I enjoyed using this book for our nightly devotions. They were a good length to read through and still allow for some discussion, and it was great to hear these stories of women and girls that God used throughout the Bible.
