Website Spotlight: PantryPerks

I recently had a chance to try out PantryPerks (referral link). PantryPerks is a new idea in shopping where not only does part of your purchase go to support charity, and you get part of your shopping (and your referral's earnings, and their referrals) back as cash.

Obviously, the referral pool will eventually run out, but you earn on your own groceries too, which is great. I got a credit to try it out, and I like what the site does - with supporting charity and having a wide variety of healthy and organic products on the site. The value really depends on what you're used to and what you have available in your area. Where I live we have a variety of retailers that sell natural/organic products (several co-ops, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, SuperTarget, and Fresh Thyme), so often I can afford to be choosy about when and where I buy something, looking only for sales. Compared to that opportunity and mentality, the prices are a bit high. However, compared to non-sale prices, they aren't bad - and the ability to earn a certain percent back brings those prices even lower! In fact, when you go to the website, a nifty page opens up that shows you what your potential could be for earnings (even if you have no friends that use your link).

You can easily search the site for things on sale, browse by category, or specify attributes like vegan/kosher/GF/fair trade. I found some products I've never tried (or seen) before, so that was fun too.

If you regularly buy organic and natural products, this is definitely a site to keep in mind!

Notes:
1. If you buy $60 EVERY month, you get your, your friends and your friend of friends' cash backs of that calendar month
2.  If you have bought your $60 worth for any given month, you can get cahsback on your friends (and F of F) purchases even if they haven't purchased for $60. Just that they won't get their own or their networks cashbacks unless they have bought for $60 in any given calendar month
3 . Any month that you don't buy for $60, you forfeit your network's cash backs, although the rest of your network can continue to get their cash backs so long as they have hit their threshold of $60 - you are basically just skipped - people above and below you still get their cash backs
