Mealtime Magic: Beef Fajitas from L.A. Mexicano

I recently had a chance to review L.A. Mexicano, a portrait of the city and the relationship its citizens have with Mexican food. Bill Esparza does a great job capturing the rich Mexican-food culture. It's part cookbook, but also part cultural history, and part city guide, with profiles of people who make it all possible: chefs, bakers, vendors, markets, food trucks, and more. The photos are bold and bright, making the Mexican dishes really come alive. It's a great book for anyone who loves Mexican food or lives in LA.

I have the chance to print a recipe from the book, to whet your tastebuds.
