I recently had a chance to read Blessed Life: My Surprising Journey of Joy, Tears, and Tales from Harlem to Hollywood by veteran actress, TV personality, and star, Kim Fields (from "Facts of Live," "Living Single," "Dancing with the Stars," and more). Her memoir is thought-provoking, inspiring, and funny. She had her first job as a Mrs. Butterworth syrup commercial when she was seven, and has been in the public eye for decades.
In this book she shares things that people might not know - her moments of self-discovery along the way. She's very open and honest, and has a very positive attitude about all of the blessings she's received. Readers learn about her childhood in Harlem to her transition as a Hollywood star. Through it all, her priorities of faith and family are strong.
