I recently had a chance to review a very appropriate book for Passion Week (although it's appropriate for Christians any time) - In the Flesh .- My Story.
This book is a very unique look at Jesus' life through His own eyes. Drawing on Scriptural stories, historical evidence, and the author's interpretation, it provides a compelling look on what things might have looked like from Jesus' perspective.
Obviously we can't read Christ's mind - He was both flesh and God, so some things would be beyond our comprehension. However, it can make the idea of a personal Savior that much closer to imagine at least what His human side experienced, with human thoughts and emotions but God's love.
I've never read a book quite like it, and this week leading up to Easter was the perfect time to do so.
