Enriching Education: Why is Water Play Important?

June 14th was International Bath Day. Legend has it that on this day, Greek Archimedes discovered while taking a bath that an object’s volume could be measured by being submerged in water! Unable to contain his excitement, Archimedes leapt out of the bathtub yelling “Eureka, Eureka!” as he ran through the streets.

Today, Edushape continues to celebrate Archimedes’ excitement and discovery with bath toys that promote learning and exploration because bath time is THE best time to discover and learn.
Water play is a wondrous experience for children, introducing them to textures and temperatures as they explore and discover.  Edushapes kids' bath time toys encourage gentle water play, allowing little ones time to relax and unwind, while increasing hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills by pouring, squeezing, stirring, and squirting.

An interesting survey* conducted by Pediatric Therapy Network for International Bath Day reveals that 73 % of moms view bathtime as an important time for child exploration and 93% of the moms use fun bath toys.

Join Edushape in celebration of International Bath Day on June 14th (AND BEYOND) so that your little scientist can rejoice “Eureka, Eureka!” over his own amazing bath time discovery!!
