February is all about hands-on activities! Stu (who has a background as a mechanic, builder, and musician) and Nicky (a graphic designer, illustrator, copywriter) bring vast and varying experiences to their craft andinfuse the classes with their personal touches, such as why they love teaching workshops and where their printmaking journeys have taken them.
● Introduction to Pottery (Launching February 15): Join host and ceramic artist Sarah Wolf on this 14-part series to learn the basics of clay and beginner wheel throwing. Owner of Wolf Ceramics in Portland, Oregon, Sarah brings her expertise in working with clay and developing a design process, resulting in the satisfaction of creating goods that will be used by friends and community. Sarah is excited to build a foundation and culture within the business that values the hard work of its craftspeople, the quality of its products, and the ongoing relationships with its customers and community.
● Jump Into Sewing (Launching February22): The latest Bluprint Kids class is a new, fun-filled entry into the Jump Into Series. Learn the basics of using a sewing machine and start your first project in this kid-friendly class with sewing veteran, instructor and author Sara Alm. In six short episodes, non-sewing parents can learn how to sew alongside their kids; or for parents who already sew, the class provides all the essential tools and techniques to pass a passion for sewing on to the kids in a fun, entertaining, wacky and inspirational way.
● Free-Motion Quilted Gifts (Launching February 28): Improve your free-motion quilting and turn your practice into fun gifts! Within seven lessons, Christina Cameli – four-time best-selling Bluprint instructor, nurse/midwife and domestic machine quilter– will teach the intermediate quilter how to create three custom-made gifts: a journal, a basket and a zippered bag.
