Book Nook: What If books by Jarrett Whitlow

What if Mercury had Marshmallows?
Maybe they do cannonballs on Mars, or race on Venus.
Who knows what's happening with all this distance between us?
It's fun to imagine what's really going on,
there on the surface of planets that orbit our sun.
Together we'll solve galactic riddles wide and narrow,
like standing on Mercury to try to roast marshmallows!

What if Dinosaurs Were Pink?
Maybe dinosaurs went to school
or rode in cars and played sports, too!
Maybe you can imagine what could have been, considering we don’t know it all from way back then.
Perhaps one day we’ll know and not just think, how cool it was that dinosaurs were pink!

About the Author

Award-winning children’s author Jarrett Whitlow lives with his wife, Courtney, in Oviedo, Florida, where he gets all the inspiration that he needs for his children’s books from his three young kids: Ella, Chase, and Luke. In his first book, What if Dinosaurs Were Pink?, we go back in time to take a silly look at what our prehistoric friends were up to. Beautifully illustrated by Daniela Dogliani from Torino, Italy, What if Dinosaurs Were Pink? won the Literary Classics Gold award in 2018. His newest book, What if Mercury Had Marshmallows? brings Whitlow and Dogliani together again, this time to take us across the solar system.
