The Minnesota Vikings are teaming up with UnitedHealthcare to package and distribute hundreds of Thanksgiving meals for families in need in the Twin Cities area. They will be donating meals that include turkeys for up to 250 preregistered families at two Salvation Army locations, one in St. Paul and the other in Minneapolis. Both distributions will take place on Tuesday, November 26.
“We’re extremely excited to partner with the Minnesota Vikings to help children and families in need this Thanksgiving season,” said Brian Molohon, Executive Director of Development at the Salvation Army Northern Division. “As a bonus, volunteers from the Vikings staff are planning to set aside time before the meal distributions to play with children enrolled in our Childhood Development Center in St Paul. We’re so grateful to work alongside the Vikings in our fight for good.”
In the hour prior to each distribution, UnitedHealthcare employees will be packaging bags with a number of Thanksgiving staples.
The Minnesota Vikings’ defensive line will be distributing the bagged meals and turkeys to preregistered families from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Salvation Army’s Minneapolis Central location at 2727 Central Ave. NE.
