Consumer Critique: MIxtiles

I recently had a chance to review Mixtiles, a photo-printing site that focuses on creating prints that are easy to swap out.

The ordering process is very easy. Users upload a picture and have limited editing tools - zooming in to the right focus area (since the pictures are square, some portions of traditional photos get cut off) and choosing a frame style. We received our order very quickly.

The quality is comparable for the price. The beauty of Mixtiles is that they aren't expensive, which makes it easy to order and swap out photos often. They are also great for people in apartments or who don't want to put holes in walls, since they attach to the wall with an adhesive strip that is removable (we adjusted our pictures several times and it didn't damage the paint or stop sticking). They're lightweight, but also stick out from the wall, so they have a unique look over framed prints and are much cheaper than canvas prints.

At just $12 each, these 8x8 squares can be a fun way to add pop to a hallway or room in your house.
