Time Tidbits: Stress-Free Holiday Preparation Tips

Many find the holidays the most stressful time of year and if you aren’t well prepared, you can find yourself overwhelmed before the festivities have even begun. But believe it or not, with a few simple tips the holidays can be stress-free! Whether you are traveling to visit family or preparing your home for holiday festivities, our lifestyle and entertaining expert can share ways to help relieve some of the heavy lifting.

In this interview, lifestyle and entertaining expert (and mom!) Brooke Parkhurst will be available with her expert tips on how to take the stress out of holiday preparations.

Some of Brooke’s tips will include:

  • STRESS-FREE TRAVEL:  There are many options available for families that are hitting the road this holiday season. Check out all-in-one websites that can offer great deals on car rentals, cozy local accommodations and keep you up-to-date on local COVID-19 restrictions.
  • GET A HEAD START ON HOLIDAY DECOR: Now is a great time to get a head start on your holiday décor.  Take a Saturday afternoon to dig out those holiday decorations and look into shopping for a few new items to spruce up the house!  Make sure you have all the tools you may need such as nails, a proper ladder and even scotch tape for decorations.
  • MAKE SURE YOUR PANTRY HAS RIGHT TOOLS FOR THE JOB:  Double checking your pantry for all your meal prep items in advance will take the stress out of making those traditional holiday meals.  Locating some cooking tools you may not use regularly like your roasting pan, meat thermometer or gravy boat.
  • SHOP TILL YOU DROP WITHOUT BREAKING THE BANK: Review your spending habits, look for sales and choose credit cards wisely. Look for those where you can earn reward points and get cash back with a low APR.
