Why was the LifeVac created? Lifevac was created after hearing of a child  the same age as my daughter , 7 at the time , who choked to death and all the available techniques failed. I needed a safe and simple way to be able to save her. 

What advantages does it have over traditional first aid techniques? It provides a reliable option when those techniques fail , without lifevac they would die. Lifevac increases the chance for survival to over 99 percent .

Why is it important for parents to have basic first aid skills, even if they have this device? First aid skills can be done immediately any place and time . Also they make the person more calm and confident.  The combination of awareness of choking danger, training and lifevac can save over 5000 lives a year.
