Going Green: TerraCycle and Serenity Kids

Serenity Kids, the nation's fastest growing baby food brand, has partnered with international recycling leader, TerraCycle to introduce a free, national recycling program to give their baby food pouches a second life. In addition to disposing of the brand’s packaging in an environmentally conscious way, for every shipment of Serenity Kids baby food pouches sent to TerraCycle, collectors earn points that can be donated to a non-profit, school or charitable organization of their choice.

Serenity Kids is proud to continue this partnership with TerraCycle and provide our consumers a better and easier experience to recycle our baby food pouches in any box they have at home,” said Joe Carr, President and co-founder of Serenity Kids. “We are on a mission to make children healthier and to also leave them a healthier planet. This partnership allows parents to enjoy the convenience of our pouches without having to worry about creating more waste.”

Through the Serenity Kids Recycling Program, consumers can send in Serenity Kids baby food pouches to be recycled for free. Participation is easy: sign up on the TerraCycle program page https://www.terracycle.com/en-US/brigades/serenity-kids and mail in the pouches using a prepaid shipping label. Once collected, the pouches are cleaned and melted into hard plastic that can be remolded to make new recycled products.

“The Serenity Kids Recycling Program offers parents an easy and responsible way to dispose of certain hard-to-recycle baby food packaging,” said TerraCycle CEO and Founder, Tom Szaky. "Together, we are making it simple to support the health of your baby and the health of the planet by leaving a positive impact on the environment for future generations."

Serenity Kids Recycling Program is open to any interested individual, school, office, or community organization. For more information on TerraCycle’s recycling programs, visit www.terracycle.com.
