Consumer Critique: Pass the Pandas

I recently found out about a few educational, family-friendly and engaging board games from UltraPro Entertainment.

Burger Academy

A learning game that combines the playfulness of hamburger building with STEM-oriented coding curiosity. The game has been the recipient of several recent awards, including the National Parenting Product Award (NAPPA), the Mom’s Choice Award and the Academics’ Choice Award. The object of Burger Academy is to flip the burger to match the image a player is given. Playable by one to six players ages 8 and up, with multiple levels of difficulty making it fun for adults and kids alike. MSRP $15 and available on Amazon or at https://shop.ultrapro.com/products/burger-academy.

Jurassic Snack

A two-player or team game for ages 7 and up, which includes playful dinosaur figures that must eat more leaves than the opponent’s team, unless one player decides to play the T.Rex to scare all the opponent's dinos away. This game is fun for a parent and child or two siblings to play and would make a great gift or stocking stuffer. MSRP $20 and available on Amazon or at https://shop.ultrapro.com/products/jurassic-snack.

Pass The Pandas

A playful, fast and exciting dice game that creates panda-monium for the whole family! As part of the game play, players compete to see who can be the first to get rid of all their dice by rolling pandas, bamboo, or water drops. Playable by two to five players ages 6 and up with a 10 minute playing time, this game is a great way for family and kids to spend time together while enjoying some playful panda-passing competition. MSRP $12 and available on Amazon or at https://shop.ultrapro.com/products/ple18400. I had a chance to review Pass the Pandas, and although it seemed like it might be a tricky game to learn, it really only took one play through before my family understood it. It was really fun to play with my brother, who has always liked pandas. It's a quick game, and it travels fairly well, so it's a good game for those times when you need to fill just a little bit of time, or a quick party game that won't take too long to play.
